5. What you write
Your notes, journal entries and prayers belong to you. We keep them only to run Gabay for you, and we never sell them or use them to train AI.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Gabay is a safe, friendly place to read the Bible and pray. These terms are short and plain. By using Gabay, you agree to them.
Gabay is made for everyone, from age 3 and up. Young children should use it with a parent or guardian. To make an account, ask the AI a question, join a family circle or buy a plan, you need to be 13 or older, or have a parent or guardian do it with you.
You do not need an account to read and pray. If you sign in, your progress, notes and family circles follow you to other devices. Keep your sign-in safe, and please use your own account. You can delete your account any time in Settings, or by following the steps on the Delete account page.
The Bible text in Gabay comes from published translations, and we never rewrite it. Explanations, answers from “Ask Gabay”, reading plans chosen for you and similar text are written by an AI. They are there to help you think. They are not Scripture, and they can be wrong. If an explanation and the Bible disagree, the Bible is right.
Gabay is not medical, legal or counselling advice, and it is not an emergency service. If you or someone near you is in danger, please contact your local emergency number or someone you trust. Please do not type private details into questions you ask the AI.
Please use Gabay with respect. Do not harass or threaten anyone, post anything hateful or inappropriate, try to get into accounts that are not yours, or misuse the app. We may remove content or close an account that harms others.
Your notes, journal entries and prayers belong to you. We keep them only to run Gabay for you, and we never sell them or use them to train AI.
A family circle is private to its members. Members can see the first name you chose, your streak, whether you read or prayed today, the prayer intentions you add to that circle and the blessings you send. The person who started the circle can remove members. Only share an invite code with people you trust.
Gabay is free to use, and the Bible, daily reading, streak, Rosary, Mass readings, prayers and offline reading stay free. We also offer optional paid plans, Gabay Plus and Gabay Family. Before you pay, you will see the price and how often the plan renews. Our payment partner handles the payment, any tax and your receipt, and we never see your card details.
We keep improving Gabay, so features, content and these terms may change. If something important changes, we will tell you in the app.
We work hard to keep Gabay accurate and working, but we cannot promise it is always available or free of mistakes. Reminders depend on your phone and settings. If you find a mistake, please tell us. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using Gabay beyond what you have paid us.
You can stop using Gabay at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
The app, its design, its characters (including Maya) and its original writing belong to us. The Bible translations are in the public domain.
